Li Haoyan was born in 2012 in Dalian, China. His father is a football coach. When Li was five, he started learning football from his father.
Li trained very hard every day. Before school, he practiced basic football skills alone again and again. He never gave up when he met difficulties.
When he was 13, Li went to Spain. First, he joined a local club called Damm CF and played in the Catalan league. To talk with his teammates, he spent one or two hours learning Spanish (西班牙语) every day.
Li’s hard work paid off. In June 2026, he became the first Chinese teen to join Barcelona’s La Masia football school. Even now, he still trains hard and never stops trying to be better.
