The game saw three red cards, with Sithole and Zwane of South Africa and Mexico’s Montes all sent off. The 2026 World Cup is the first edition co-hosted by three nations and expanded to 48 teams. The top two from each group and the eight best third-placed finishers will advance to the round of 32. South Korea will face Czechia in another Group A match.
