The opening match sees host nation Mexico take on its opponent, marking the start of the 39-day football carnival. Co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, the tournament features a historic expansion to 48 teams, who will play a total of 104 matches. The group stage comprises 12 groups. The top two teams from each group and the eight best third-placed teams will advance to the knockout rounds. Notably for Chinese fans, approximately 70% of the matches will kick off between 6:00 AM and 11:00 AM Beijing Time, bringing extremely convenient viewing hours. The final is scheduled for 3:00 AM Beijing Time on July 20 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA.
